Guys, I notice that the results from Sunday still aren't online, and thought I'd offer you my services.  Instead of painfully transcribing your results from the excel/PDF/whatever your timing gear chucks out into nicely formatted HTML for your website, just bung it straight to me (email address is on the website), and assuming I'm home from whatever race I'm doing, the results will be live on my site for all to see within an hour (often less) - worst case scenario would be that I don't get them up till 9pm-ish.

Email them straight from the venue if you're keen enough (like Borderline events have been doing for the inners & moelfre races this year).

Keeps your riders happy - everyone wants to see the results when they get home, and more often then not I'll have them online before people get home.

Then simply put a link on your site to my site.  if you want to present them on your site too that's obviously cool, but you can do it at your leisure without knowing that everyone's waiting impatiently


Additionally the site has all of your 2009 race results on file already, so in the results section you could simply put a link to http://www.rootsandrain.co.uk/series18/09-northern-downhill/ rather than have to import all of your old results into the new website.

More than happy to help - it's good for you (less work) and it's good for me!

No worries - for the record I wasn't criticising, I know you both have full-time jobs as well, and have to clear up all of the mess after the race etc etc - hence why I was offering to help, become an "official results partner" or something similar

bit of a poor show considering seb states above all you need to do is e-mail the results to him in whatever format and he'll have them up on his site in less than an hour!

Hi Guys Results should be up by the end of a weekend. 

Please remember I do this on top of a job, a family life, a normal life and many other things like dog walking putting the rubbish out riding my bike tidying up your mess, cleaning buses building trailers, taking to bits trailers that did nt work and modifying them so they don t damage your bike finding new tracks talking to annoyed forestry people who don t like fires on there land etc etc!.  The time I take off has to be worked back at work so finding time is difficult. So please bear with me.

The guys that run the timing do it for free on top of full time jobs and on top of helping me clear away aswell as taking there own leave to help me out.

My web guy graham who designs the number boards, flyers etc does so for free on top of a job and on top of free lance work which pays his bills.  So it does take a bit of time to get everyone togeather to post the results for you.

I do not intend this as an excuse just basically stating why it takes a little while to post the results for you.  As time progresses and entry numbers increase we should be able to progress our services and speed up things like this .

ALSO why not send me an email if you have a problem you can then get a personal responce!

I certainly don't have a problem with you/NDH/etc uproar, sorry if I've come across that way.  For what it's worth I did send an email a couple of months ago and got no response from you guys, maybe I tapped the address in wrong.  I'm only trying to help, hope I've not stepped on any toes!
