Yeah- they're MEGA expensive.....BUT....
If these rims last a lot longer than std rims (as they're reported to) and save around 100g of ROTATIONAL weight I can see why pro teams are considering running them.

Now where's my lottery ticket! ;)

Head down to the bank for a mortgage  :D

Sorry but I just would not pay that for one rim. Had it been for two then I would have given it a little more thought.

Edge Carbon rims are really popular with the big wheel crowd.

They also signed up Brian Lopes for the coming season.

Also check out the NAHBS, seems most of the bikes there this year had Edge rims on them.

Strong and cheap'ish I'd go for,

Cycling downhill so weight is not that much of an issue to riding cross country imo

The 26" AM rim weighs 400gms according to Edge and will build a 1425gm wheelset if DT240s hubs are used.

That's light and strong, but not cheap at $2308.95  ;)

Wanna hit from ma pipe?

In the 29'er world Edge rims are the dogs do-dahs right now.  I reckon most people rocking them are not paying full retail though  ;)
