2011 Scottish Champs – Killin

Killin in the name of!…..SDA Scottish Downhill Championships supported by Chain Reaction Cycles Funny old race this- more like a Scottish race of old, rather than the 2011 Scottish Champs. A few factors contributed to this- the push up, open hillside venue, and depleted entries made for a friendly, lower-key Championships than in previous years, albeit impeccably organised by the usual suspects at the SDA. The reason for depleted numbers were due in part to the date clash with T […]

TweedLove “Dual Slalom”

A brightly coloured-polyester kind of a night at Glentress. BBQ, late night Hub cafe opening, Hub bikes for a demo night ride. The Dual Slalom is back, and is in the field behind The Hub, organised by Rich Latimer and The Bike Track People. Head to head racing down a parallel course, push up, switch courses and go again.  The weather for the event was just what you’d want, a nice bit of late sun in the evening to chill […]

A total of 356 competitors from 26 countries lined up at the start, but it wasn’t the quantity but rather the quality of the starting pack which attracted attention. That Leogang Bike Park has now made an international name for itself on the mountain biking scene is not least due to the fact that it hosts top notch […]
