It been a busy few weeks for me lately, first we (Doug, JP and I) have been beavering away in the background helping Rare Management with the World Championships Official Program, it's almost done and dusted with a little proofing to go. Hence the lack of updates recently on the blog and the main site.
Everyone I know has been to France for a least a month now and well me...I leave next week and it hasn't come a moment too soon...Pra Loup bound with a splattering of in between places to ride...hopefully I'll get some updates on the way.

On www.jessops.com and in their retail outlets the portaflash LS1 light stand is £34.99.
on www.tecno.co.uk the portaflash LS1 light stand is £9.04.
SO:
Go into your local Jessops, ask for a Portastand - or anything else for that matter - and ask for a price match with their own Tecno website.
The total for one lightstand and a universal bracket inc. delivery of £3.99 was just £17.73.
The sales guy in the shop was amazed, but he stood by the price match. Maybe Jessops aren't as bad as i thought.

A couple of weeks back I clumsily dropped my trusty Fuji S7000 on my kitchen floor, breaking the lense. After being quoted up to £180 from local camera shops I found out that the nice people at www.fujifilm.co.uk do a flat fee £99.99 repair service (which includes an extension to your warranty of 12 months) or, a very tempting trade in service to get yourself a shiny new model.
No prizes for guessing which option I went for.......
I've had the old version of this camera for 4 years now and has been excellent, in fact some of my favourite pictures have been taken with it.
