What's that feeling? That tingling? It can't be. It is! My toes. Finally some feeling, some blood flow. I thought the old tarsals had had it for sure.

I suppose you're sitting there thinking 'what the hell's he talking about?!'. But those of you who witnessed the recent snow will have an idea. Those who tried riding in it will have a good idea. And those who got out, put the hours in the saddle over a 3 day camp will sympathise completely.

Knee deep snow. Walking, carrying, sliding. Damn stuff. It just gets in the way when you don't have a set of skiis. What's its point after Christmas anyway? No lovely festive scenes. Just traffic jams, closed trails and numb feet.

I have to say though. Even though a cold and a shoulder injury reduced our numbers to 3, the young talents of Lew, Aarron and Mark put their heads down and dug in. Snow, rain, whatever. Good work. Not sure my legs are thanking me now but a good weekend had by all. Well, all but my toes. They were heading straight for the frostbite bin in the local A + E until today.

We had Hot Chicken again this time. At the hands of Maximuscle, he's pretty beefcake now. But is riding a 14yr old girls bike pure beefcake? Not when the the bike in question is a tiny pink Kona XC bike. Oh the sight, I wish I had my camera... Talking of Hutchens, who's he just signed for? That 9th at the World's was pretty special to be fair. Special enough to wear all that lycra... Eh Hutch.

Anyway, it's January so here comes the winter race season. 60 quid though... harsh. Oh well, what else to do but jet off on Holiday. Enjoy the cold. I'm sure your toes will.

Chris
