Final days practice for us downhill lot today. Tomorrow's the big one, final round, medals to fight for and beer to drink at the after party. the final round of the XC happened today. I'm pretty sure it did because there was a super stoked dude on the PA shouting about something anyway. French dude won I think, I saw the Chinese bird whooping the rest in the womens too. That's about all I know. Well, paid attention to anyway.

There was a few sore heads today too. Red lights and Champagne for a couple of British riders last night. Small hours, big bucks and a sampling of local culture... Who was it?!

Monster (aka Cookson) is still fixing his bike. What a monster.

4X tonight, happening as I write this in fact. The course has roots and stumps and all things mountain bikey. The way forward? After the 2 hour rider meeting today it would seem so. All Dual slalom rumours squashed thankfully. Out with the BMX in with the big jumps, fireworks and everything else Mr Saxena wants to do. Go for it I say. I may watch it next time... Well, I would've if the sauna in my hotel wasn't so good.

Ruaridh is looking good. Pity he couldn't keep up with me today. Ball found something and pinned him. Hutch is looking happy too. Cathro is having issues, that's all I'm saying.

I'm sure you'll all know the final results before I do tomorrow so good luck and I'll do my best to get you the hot news from Sunday.

Hill is looking fast as you'd expect. Peat is cruising. Keeping the ankle safe. Brendog still going for it. Everyone still pretty lethargic after last week. Red Bull anyone? If I was a betting man it'd have to be Sam, or Fabien, or Matti... Dammit, I give up.

Until next time,

Baller
