Welcome to the first update in the 2008 World Championships coverage from us at Descent-World. The advance DW party has now reached sunny Fort William, myself and JP will be keeping you up to speed with all the early week goings on at Nevis Range with Allan Millway, Ian Linton and the big man himself (or should that be wee man?) Jon_e joining us later in the week.
We have caught no action so far but random ramblings from the day.......
- No lurking speed cameras on the Glencoe road as yet, a definite plus.
- No luck on the Jimmy Saville spotting on the way up the road, he still lives in Glencoe doesn't he?
- The sun is shining.

- The sun is shining.
- Lots of lycra clad ladies hunnies warming up around the town for tomorrows XC relay.
- Wifi access in our house means site updates should be plentiful, though I guess it's quality not quantity.
- The Dirt photo exhibition is at the end of our street and looks quite pretty from the outside, I look forward to going down and feasting my eyes on the photographic glory....I love that shot of Palmer that they have used on the flyer, totally awesome.
