Ha - and you all thought I was talking about the missus!!
No after knackering my last set of brake pads by cicking the rear hose and letting it get loose and p155 dot5 all over the place, enduring the squeak fest that ensued and then then attempting to clean them off, I've finally had enough.
Hope are notorious for problems but in 6 years thats the only one I've really experianced, so I dropped a whole £7 on a new set from Superstar Components, admittedly they are still in thepackage but will get chucked on next sunday and bedded in.

What's that feeling? That tingling? It can't be. It is! My toes. Finally some feeling, some blood flow. I thought the old tarsals had had it for sure.
I suppose you're sitting there thinking 'what the hell's he talking about?!'. But those of you who witnessed the recent snow will have an idea. Those who tried riding in it will have a good idea. And those who got out, put the hours in the saddle over a 3 day camp will sympathise completely.
I’m not sure if there are collectors of vintage DH bikes in the same way that there are when it comes motorbikes, but…
I have an 1999 Tomac 204 Magnum, its pretty close to team spec except for a recently serviced pair White Bros USD180 (with direct mount stem) in lieu of a Manitou X-Vert Carbon, a FSA Slim Jim instead of a Tioga Multi-control XL seat, Race Face XY seat post, Chris King headset and a XTR derailleur instead of a SRAM. So very little needs changing or adding to make a Tomac replica.
