Must buy? Anyone who knows me, knows that buying stuff is not something I do lightly, if at all. Short arms and long pockets is how they describe it I think.
So for me to describe something as must-buy hopefully means something.
Whenever I open up my inbox and see an Email from Missspent summers, then I get a little excited. Mainly because James Mcknight is one of the few people left who are passionate about chronicling our sport in a timeless, knowledgable and in depth fashion. These are the guys behind Hurly Burly, Death Grip and other excellent books. It is wonderful stuff.
For the EWS year book he has once again teamed up with the indomitable South African Silverback Sven Martin, the German master engineer Sebastian Schiek and the wild, never ageing Boris Beyer along with a host of contributors who really do know their stuff. These are people who are embedded in the mountain bike race environment – in short, part of the handful who can truly get you into the nitty gritty of what makes people tick at the highest level.
I won’t wax lyrical too much about the virtues of high quality journalism, but if you buy this book, you can consider yourself a connoisseur of mountain biking and part of a club that still gets excited by the epic feats that go down on hillsides around the world on any sunday.

It is a complete document of the world’s premier enduro race series, brought to reality by a team of enthusiasts who love mountain biking as much as they do quality print, solid writing and great photography.
