Located in the Catskills, some 150 miles North West of New York, Windham is a sleepy, all American town.
It’s contrast to its most famous of neighbours is palpable.
Slightly more gentrified than the surrounding countryside, Windham is the easy going holiday retreat for wealthy New Yorkers who grab some east coast skiing during the winter months.
After holding it’s first World Cup in 2010, won by Gee and Rachel Atherton respectively, Windham has gone on to become a well known feature of the circus that is World Cup DH.
With a XCO world cup in tow, the contingent headed south to the USA a few days earlier than most and had a chance to take in some sights.
