First pioneered in a collaboration between the SDA and Glencoe Mountain Resort back in 2007, this track that overlooks large swathes of Rannoch Mòr has undergone a gradual process of evolution since that wild September weekend nearly 8 years ago.

Those lucky enough to remember that brutal beast will provide solid testament that changes were required. With that in mind the track was made safer, a little easier and whole lot friendlier on the phsyce.

Fraser Houston and the team at Glencoe deserve serious praise in the face of what was a mixed opinion on this track. There is no doubt that after this weekend those who braved the journey up to the highlands were rewarded with big smiles in between sore hands and dented rims.

With entries a little down on previous rounds, many riders found that they could get in as many runs as they wanted this weekend. Although, despite the track being under 3 minutes long, arm pump was a issue for many riders - so conservation of the body was key.

So who were the movers and shakers this weekend?

We sent reporter Tommy Wilkinson along to get the low down.

Full results are available on Roots and Rain.
