Air Maiden V 2012
The all women Airmaiden event is now in it’s 5th year and going from strength to strength. Over 60 competitors came to Glentress to take part this year and the level of skills are now so much better than years gone by. Saturday is all about coaching the new comers the skills needed and some more advanced coaching for the old timers. DirtSchool’s Andy Barlow was on hand this year along with Helen Gaskell, along with old hands Tracy and Emma. I’ll not bother rambling on as there’s not a huge amount you can say apart from saying I was quite impressed with the standard of skills these girls have. The competition started out with a blast down berm baby berm with the coaches placed down the trail marking them for skills. From there they went up to the jump park and completed the top half dozen hips/jumps and tables. Last part was down over the skinnys and over the drops – choice of small medium and big here, big obviously meant more points and 4 girls did just that. Young Erin Maguire was looking most confident over the big kicker managing a few no footers and a no hander. Jo Cardwell took the over all win for the day and was crowned Airmaiden 2012. Below is a few pics from the day enjoy

Super Mario aka Liz Law took the prize for best trick of the day, think it was for the ass slap off the kicker
