SRAM 2×10 FOR EVERYONE
Expanded gearing range offers better shifting performan ce for all riders in all types of terrain. A perfect shift is a perfect shift. No matter the terrain, no matter the bike. Cross-country, trail, all-mountain, downhill—the truth is, most riders are not limited to just one style.
We are now offering additional gear options to fill these needs. SRAM is building on the huge success of its 2X10 drivetrain by offering new gear options for X0, X9 and X7 families that meet the evolving demands of today’s off-road riders. These new options are designed to enhance every type of riding experience you throw at it, longer-travel trail bikes to 29ers.
The new gearing options feature the same chain line as the current 2X10 systems, so riders will experience the same precision shifting performance and full range of useable gears they are used to from SRAM.
“It’s not just weight-conscious cross-country riders using SRAM 2×10,” says Ron Ritzler, SRAM’s external drivetrain category manager. “It has quickly become the choice for all performance minded mountain bikers. With that in mind, we’re adding two new 2X10 gearing ranges, 38/24 and 36/22.”
The 38/24 chainrings are ideal for the growing 29er market, allowing these riders to enjoy the benefits of larger wheels plus easier gearing for the steepest of climbs. The 36/22 range offers the lowest 2X gear available from any system—a perfect choice for those all day, all out, all mountain adventures. As a rider your real world needs are shifting and shaping. Your ride is in your reach.
