Twelve July – Michal Prokop

Twelve months, twelve short documentaries on a long way to success. This is TWELVE. The camera takes the past months of Michal Prokop, just as he has actually spent it. Without any adornments and planning. It doesn’t aim to celebrate the leading actor; it wants to capture by its sincereness. Long evenings in the hotel room, washed some things, the second to pack. Like before his trip to Great Britain. Hot July began with Michal’s departure to Bike Radar Live, monstrous bike festival similar to Sea Otter Classic, still without any reason omitted by people from Continental Europe.

Season is in full swing, and travel is an integral part.

Classic racing circuit in Brands Hatch near London host various races for a wide public as well as for top professionals every year. Start list of MBUK Dual Slalom Eliminator brings together current 4X stars Rinderknecht, Wichman and Beaumont, DH stars Peat and Kovarik and Lopes, a legend of this kind of racing. In this competition, Prokop wins the qualifications and then the race itself. Giant trophy and hot prize money go to Prague!

From the forest of slalom poles we move to a real forest in North Bohemia, to Michal’s favourite destination Jested. This time it’s not just about freeriding, but testing and shooting. Hot new AGang Ninja freeride bike is waiting for him. Jan Mocnak, co-author of the Twelve project, finds himself before lens and behind the camera at the same time.

Despite July showed his less benign face and wet slopestyle park is not in the best condition, Michal enjoys a ride in MBC Bike Park in Kosmonosy near Mlada Boleslav. Not racing, also work for the sponsors belongs to life of a professional athlete…
