Ae Forest SDA Rd4 2010
Round 4 of the SDA was held at Ae Forest near Dumfries at the weekend in the beautiful sunshine, yeah I said sunshine. It’s been a few years since I’d been at a race down here and it hadn’t rained but hey when the suns out it’s a great place to be. The track this weekend was the old top section till you got into the trees, over the wee huck jump and then off to the right through the tight fir trees then out over the stream crossing. Once you were over the first big jump you were off to the left through a small new grassy section to the big hip jump then as you were in the nationals to the rock garden. Down into the trees after that (no coffin jump this weekend) out the fir trees and hard right down the off camber track to a couple of new berms down to the big step down then as you were down through the big berms over the wall and down the walk up path to the finish line rather than the normal elevator finish.

A body to die for....
Not much more can be said about Ae that hasn’t been said before so we’ll crack on. Few faces missing this weekend with some folk still chilling out down in the Alps etc. One young lad Lewis Buchanan isn’t one of them he’s been out in Canada racing his butt off against some tuff competition in the Canadian Open. Lewis managed to put in a stonking 2nd place behind Gee Atherton – not bad for a young 16 yr old. Good effort and looks like he’s on form for the last WC round then the Worlds.
