Skins as we all know are taking this compression thing very seriously with a range that’s expanding in size quicker than my middle age body. We were lucky enough to get to sample some of their latest wares…here’s the round up of our time with the following items of Skins…all 4 of them.
Cycle Pro Men’s Long Sleeve Jersey
Not exactly a downhill top but if you need an summer xc or even road top then look no further. If you excuse the Livestrong looks, you’ll see a functional top for riding, usual three pockets at the rear plus one bonus one with a zipper. A full length zip at the front means you can flash your man boobs at the ladies whilst climbing up the high street in the heat…even though the jersey is super cool to wear because of the super wicking properties. I love the fact it’s 50+ SPF as well…especially with the long sleeves…means I can ride all day long. It’s equally at home with a pair of baggies and a gillet, see below. Ideal for Summer, the lightweight cycle pro men’s long sleeve jersey has been anatomically cut to be comfortable where it counts – on the bike.
The micro polyester/spandex fabric provides extra stretch with a soft hand feel. Less stretch in the back panel ensures stability in the jersey when you’re up on the pedals.
Additional features include back pockets, bonded hems, high visibility SKINS logos – plus permanent antimicrobial treatment, 50+ UVP and sweat wicking, to keep you dry and comfortable while you’re out training or competing.

C400 Men’s Wind Vest
A gillet is a gillet, right? Some are better than others though…this one is super light with an awesome wind stopping property, worn on numerous evening road rides with a chilly head wind…I was snugg as a bug. With a RRP of £89.98, there’s cheaper out there but will they work as well?
