Fort William WC – Final Results

What can I say? Gee Atherton pops his Fort William cherry at last…well done “Gee Bag!!” In a final which popped a few surprises up, Cameron Cole proves that Saturdays Qualifier was no fluke, second place here and his best World Cup finish for the Kiwi!! Greg Minnaar is as ever consistent in third place, the calculated South African is no doubt comfortable with the overall in mind as some of his nearest rivals have fallen by the wayside. Aaron Gwin is showing the potential he has been promising for a couple of years now…the USA Champ can hopefully start the whole US revival off, no doubt he seen the podium a few times more this year. Mik Hannah has a point to prove this weekend, after a disappointing start in Maribor the Quik Sik Mik walked the walk today to score the last place on the podium.

For those wondering about Hill, seems the practice crash took it’s toll…he’ll be back in a few weeks healed and looking for a win at the legendary, Champery but before that there’s Leogang.
