Cwm Rhidin’
Friday, April 16th, 2010
If it wasn’t for the 3 headcases from Neath, whom I met at Rheola last weekend, I might not have given this trail a try. Cwm Rhaeadr is Rowan Sorrel designed, located in the middle of mid Wales and about 40 miles from my new front door…so it had to be done.
With one Trek Scratch Air 8 in the boot, I headed off for a sunset ride after work…and boy did I get a treat. The trail is mint, although short, it’s so good you just keep doing laps.
Cwm Rhidin’ with me at Cwm Rhaeadr…which is now one of my favourite new local trails.
Looks top, and good tunes too!

Hi Jon, I am one of the “3 headcases from Neath” (the short one a little taller than you)! Glad you enjoyed Cwm Rhaeadr
Keep practicing the local lingo “Machynlleth” and “Afan” !

Ridden this track many times since it opened a few years ago, it’s a good place to take beginners for their first rides plus it’s still great fun for the seasoned rider.. Nice view from the bench near the top.
I love the way you knocked the gate over at the end!
