The North Face: Backpedal Messenger Bag & Tent Mules

The North Face always seem to have some interesting products geared at biking and are a slight change from the normal racing gear. This Bike Messenger bag (The Backpedal) has taken over from my well worn Da Kine backpack as laptop/camera/ MCN/ school gear bag and was a worthwhile change.

Made from some of the hardest wearing fabric I’ve seen in a while (Think old Royal shorts that just seem to wear forever) it swallows everything in suitable pockets with a total of 30litre capacity. The big plus was the laptop pocket- padded and stiff it keeps the laptop in tiptop. Thick padded strap for over the shoulder and loads of pockets everywhere- From meshed breathable pockets (dirty socks?) to mobile phone and organiser pockets at the front.

My pictures don’t do it justice as the bag is always stuffed full of my stuff and not as clean at it was when new- I guess a sign that it does the job!

Tent Mules

Ok, so Christmas is still a ways off but if you want a set you will need to snap them up QUICK! These are essentially slippers and I tried to buy a set last year in December but they sold out. I had to wait until last week before the Bullring had them in stock again- and already down to the last few pairs! So warm and comfy it is like wearing a Puffa jacket on your feet. Overkill for the house? For sure. Expensive? Absolutely. You want a set? So did I!
